<p><span style=color: rgba(23 43 77 1)>This reprint focuses on innovative methodologies based on remote sensing as well as the monitoring and analysis of the relationship between urbanization and ecosystem services on different scales.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(23 43 77 1)>The published papers describe the use of innovative technologies for land cover change monitoring ecosystem service modeling and mapping and innovation in land-use planning in addition to highlighting the potential of technologies to tackle challenges such as the sustainability of urbanization climate change adaptation and sustainable land management.</span></p>
