The purpose of this research was to design e-activities based on cognitive coaching techniques and measure its impact on developing assessment competencies among the UAE English middle school teachers. Designing and using e-activities in e-learning is important to encourage collaboration and negotiation. It moves participants’ to higher levels of thinking. The e-activities can be carried out synchronous such as quizzes and other e-activities can be carried out asynchronous such as participation in wikis or blogs. Presentation discussions and uploading a file are examples of effective e-activities. The researched designed a website of e-activities such as online quizzes videos examples illustrative pictures stimulating questions and online articles. Using various information and communication technologies has advantages on both instructors and learners. Furthermore in cognitive coaching the ICTs positively affected the training process. Various and advanced ICTs have different purposes such as collaborating storing and assessment. to do this many technologies are utilized such as wikis forums texts quizzes and videos.
