About The Book

The result of doctoral research in education this book presents an analysis of the specialized educational care offered to babies and young children with disabilities in early childhood education. The experience lived in the empirical field of research through the contexts of Santa Maria municipality of Rio Grande do Sul Brazil and Bologna capital of the Emilia Romagna Region Italy allows a reflection on the lines of organization of specialized educational care for children in the early stages of schooling. This experience provided an opportunity to experience not only a different cultural perspective but also another historical political and pedagogical construction regarding educational services for babies and young children with disabilities.
