Early Ethiopic

<p><strong><em>Early Ethiopic</em></strong> is a linguistic introduction to classical Ethiopic/Ge'ez with clear and concise grammatical descriptions. This work is thoroughly grounded in current linguistic research on the grammar of Ge'ez. Each chapter is organized for optimal first-time encounter of the language including a variety of exercises. Among the exercises are readings from the earliest Ethiopic Gospel of Mark set both within a colorful illustrated setting and also presented from color photographs of the manuscript pages. </p>
