Ecological Consciousness in Postcolonial Fiction

The goal of the research group was to ponder on the different representations of the ecological consciousness subsequent to the environmental crisis. We expected articles on the issue in literary studies (fictions critical and theoretical fields) in medias (cinemas newspapers etc.) natural sciences and anthropology. We hoped that ultimately we would be able to come up with useful conclusions suggestions or alternatives to the death trend that a certain conception of progress and modernism is leading us to. It is our hope that the book will amply prove that our goal however modest it may appear has been reached and will provoke more reactions (from our readers) so as to open new perspectives on the issue of ecology.
