Ecology of Mangrove Forests in South Sinai Egypt

This book provides a comprehensive study of naturally growing mono-specific mangrove species Avicennia marina (Forssk.) Vierh. in southern Sinai Egypt in two protected areas Nabq and Ras Mohammed. Total mangrove cover percentages of mangrove distribution in different habitats with detailed habitat maps for the coastal zones comparing 30 years change in mangrove cover. Progression of three year’s old transplanted mangrove in three different sites was assessed. About 50 hectares of the mangrove stands were studied for forest structure productivity types and levels of human impacts.
