Economic effects of conflict on Nepali Economy: before and after 2006

When conflict flares up it would lead to uncalled for effects across society region and beyond. The loss of life and assets gets recorded but what about the far reaching economic effects. The cost of containing the conflict should not outweigh the economic benefits. Nepalese history is full of conflict however the effects resonating from the armed conflict over 1996-2006 have been far reaching at all levels. The author has provided insights into the economic effects through macro and micro lenses.This could be eye opening to other regions across the world for deliberating upon timely resolve of conflict.
