ECONOMIC GROWTH AND EMPLOYMENT IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO

The impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth and employment in the DRC from 1990 to 2014 in the era of globalization where we are witnessing an explosion in FDI a driving force behind the multinationalization of companies. The main motivations behind these investments are obviously cost reduction (labor costs tax optimization etc.) but also the search for savings linked to large markets and the conquest of new markets. The positive effects of FDI on economic growth and the resulting increase in employment in host countries have been confirmed by numerous empirical studies.
