Economic intelligence

The growing globalization of economies is largely driven by the remarkable growth of information and communication technologies. These new technologies have not only accelerated the pace of information flow but have also confronted states and companies with an overabundance of information whose scope and relevance require the implementation of an economic intelligence system. Thus our book has three main objectives. First we determine the fundamentals of business intelligence. Then we describe the three functions of business intelligence: (1) the intelligence function (2) the protection function and (3) the influence function. Finally we identify the main tools for conducting intelligence.
