Economic Nationalism in Central and Eastern Europe

Central and Eastern Europe have been the site of political turmoil after the financial crisis and have seen a general uprising of nationalist sentiment across the region. The analysis at hand stretches over several countries: Romania Hungary and Ukraine and focuses on the nature of political nationalism as reflected from an economic perspective. The differences in the three areas are underlined and the possible consequences for multinational companies are discussed. The purpose of this analysis is to give some insight into this burgeoning political current and also offer MNCs an economic perspective on the situation.
