Economics Of Precision Farming

Precision Farming is one of the techniques which is widely used for enhancing the production and productivity of farm grown fruits and vegetables after assessing the impact of this technology as a Turnkey Project in the Dharmapuri District of Tamil Nadu. After assessing the efficacy the technology was spread to different parts of Tamil Nadu for achieving higher productivity in a unit area. One such effort was taken up through World Bank assisted IAM WARM Project and the same was implemented in basin wise. This book has addressed the impact of precision farming specifically in Theni District of Tamil Nadu and hence a Case Approach is adopted to elucidate the merits of Precision Farming and the same was compared to the traditional ways of cultivation of fruits and vegetables. Besides these the Precision Aquaculture Precision Agriculture Precision Silviculture Precision Approaches for Carbon Neutrality Organic Certification Farmer Producer Organizations and their role and impact on the production and marketing has also been discussed by inviting the paper from experts of related field.
