Economics of Production and Marketing of Paddy-An Overview

The Present study deals with the socioeconomic characteristics of paddy cultivators. This study will be helpful to know how socioeconomic characters like age income education size of land holding will affect the adoption of new technology. Sometimes there is over utilization or under utilization of resources. This injudicious use of resources affects on profit as well as sustainability. This study will be helpful to make the decision on judicious use of resources. This is useful to minimize the costs of over utilized resources and divert the focus on underutilized resources. With the help of this studies government can formulate better policies minimum support prices and required quantity of credit to the farmers.
