Effect of bulb size of different varieties and spacing on Onion

In the height of the present study results highlighted above showed that variety Hisar-2 proved better than Nasik-red from growth yield quality uptake of nutrients and net income point of view. Subsequently the larger bulb size proved beneficial in terms of superior growth yield and quality and net profit as compared to smaller and medium bulb size. It is worth while that yield and net return was noted superior with medium spacing (30X20 cm). Thus for growing remunerative onion seed crop variety Hisar-2 should be grown along with 5.0-6.0 cm bulb size which were planted at 30 X 20 cm under the agro-climatic conditions of Meerut region.
