Effect of EMS on tomato HSPs under in vivo and in vitro conditions

Tomato is a candidate plant for complete genome sequencing used as a part of functional genomic tools such as insertional mutagenesis. EMS mutagenesis gives rise to a high mutation frequency without preference for specific genomic region’s and generates many alleles that allow the isolation of several mutant phenotypes useful in research and crop breeding.
