The solution to the food problem in the Russian Federation depends primarily on the level of development of grain production which largely determines the economic stability and food security of the country. Currently winter wheat is the main grain crop in Rostov region where it occupies more than 1.5 million hectares and accounts for 15...20% of Russia''s winter wheat crop area. In order to get a high yield of crops it is necessary to create the necessary conditions for growth and development of plants to provide them with all the factors of life. The idea of optimizing mineral nutrition becomes particularly important nowadays when there is a disparity between the prices of energy and agricultural products and the high cost of industrial fertilizers.
