The reseach detected the following compounds after phytochemical analyses of garlic and onion; anthroquines volatiles oils saponins glycosides cardiac glycosidesalkaloidsflavonoids and tannins. The work also investigated the fungicidal effect of methanolic and ethanolic extract of tke plant Species against Aspergillus fumigatus A. niger and A. favuscultured using agar incorporated methodisolated and identified using mycological atlas. Three(3) samples each of the infected groundnuts were sorted from store rooms of peasant farmers.The efficacy of tke extracts formulated at varying concentrations of 10mg/ml 20mg/ml and 30mg/mlproved to be adverse with increased concentrationsexhibiting a significant difference in the mean values where (P <0.05) degree of confidence .In most cases there was no significant difference in the values of the extracts at high concentrations. Botanicals are believed to be eco-friendly and biodegradable when compared to agro –synthetic chemical which are expensive and may not be affordable by peasant farmers.
