About The Book

This book examines how gender influences the adoption of improved ginger production technologies in Southeast Nigeria. Based on a study of 250 farmers (125 males 125 females) it reveals that while female farmers dominate ginger production activities men have greater access to and control over resources. Key findings show that male farmers adopt more innovations with access to land training and experience driving adoption. Meanwhile female farmers face greaterconstraints like poor extension contact and inadequate credit. The book highlights gender disparities adoption barriers and policy recommendations for promoting inclusive agricultural innovation and rural development.
