Effect of spinning systems on quality of cotton folded yarn & fabric

Different spinning techniques have been established to spin the fibres into yarn. However every type of yarn has its own particular characteristics. Ring compact air-jet and open-end spun yarns have different characteristics. If we combine the open-end and ring spun yarn by folding them together we can get the properties of both type of spun yarns in a single yarn. We can combine yarns from different spinning systems e.g. ring compact open-end and air-jet to make a hybrid yarn. The main objective of this proposed research project was to study the effect of various spinning systems spun yarns and folding parameters on the quality of hybrid folded yarns of cotton.
