Effect of tillage and weed management in safflower

About The Book

Among different tillage practices (sowing methods) the conventional tillage practice recorded significantly higher growth yield attribute seed yield straw yield biological yield GMR NMR and B:C ratio than other practices.Among different weed control practices the integrated weed control practice recorded significantly higher growth yield attributes seed yield straw yield biological yield GMR NMR and B:C ratio than other weed control practices. From the above results it can be concluded that for obtaining maximum grain yield as well as net monetary returns the sowing of safflower should be carried out by conventional tillage along with integrated weed management practice. The above conclusions however based on one season experimentation and hence need to be confirmed by repetitions.
