This research was carried out in areas of the Agroforestry Enterprises of six municipalities in Granma Province Cuba with the objective of evaluating the effect of handmade traps with alcoholic attractants in the control of the coffee berry borer (Hypothenemus hampei) actions corresponding to the Project entitled Strengthening the Integrated Management of Hypothenemus hampei Ferrari and its biological controls in Granma Province carried out by the Guisa Agroforestry Experimental Station and strengthening the knowledge in the integrated management of this pest. The population fluctuation of the CBB showed that the maximum captures were achieved in the period April-June reflecting a massive emergency of the coffee berry borer the most affected area is located in the municipality of Media Luna with an 11.14% of infestation handmade traps made of disposable plastic bottles with alcoholic attractants are an effective alternative for capturing adult females of Hypothenemus hampei Ferrari after the harvest.
