Effects of Different Pre-Treatment Methods on Germination and Seedling Growth of Mimosa Pigra Linn.

This book presents a scientific investigation into the effects of different pre-treatment methods on the germination and seedling growth of Mimosa pigra Linn. and Kigelia africana Lam. two ecologically significant tropical plant species. Poor germination is a common limitation in forestry and agroforestry programs involving these species. Through a series of laboratory and field experiments the author evaluates physical chemical and biological methods to break seed dormancy and enhance early seedling vigor.
