Effects of economic crisis on labour markets of Spain and Ireland

The current economic crisis has had a global impact. Whereas some countries experienced a shorter period of recovery others are still suffering the consequences of years of misbehaviour of financial institutions worldwide and the inability of governments to respond rapidly. The economic crisis has hit both Ireland and Spain’s economies severely and their labour markets are experiencing the adverse effects of fifteen years of an illusory economic boom. While some countries have recovered Spain and Ireland are still going through a painful economic crisis nowadays.
