Effects of physical factors on germination and growth of maize seeds

The book is devoted to the study of the influence of physical factors - microwave radiation barrier discharge and plasma-activated water - on germination growth and yield of corn seeds of Dilshod variety.Experiments showed that the optimal treatment is microwave radiation at 385 W while high power reduces growth. Soaking seeds in plasma activated water (12 and 24 hours) improved germination and growth vigor. Barrier discharge treatment for 4 minutes with cooling for 72 hours gave the highest yield increase.The results confirm the promising potential of physical methods of seed treatment to improve maize productivity.
