Effects of water temperature on freshwater invertebrates

In this context of climate change it is interesting to ask whether waters - particularly freshwaters - are themselves affected by this global warming and whether freshwater ecosystems are impacted. It is even more important to visualize future trends in water temperature and species communities in order to understand what ecosystem state we are heading towards and to adapt our lifestyles accordingly.
