Efficacy of Cinnamon on Glycemic and Lipid Profile

This book gives a complete knowledge about Cinnamomum zeylaynicum''s inner bark - historical perspective various species of cinnamon available through out the world phyochemical compounds the active principle compound that is considered as insulin memetic. The efficacy of cinnamon on glycemic profile of type 2 diabetes subjects lipid profile serum fructasamine levels were studied.The polyphenolic polymeric compound MHCP was identified isolated by means of FTIR NMR and Mass spectrometry methods.Also the antibiotic and antifungal activity of cinnamon was demonstrated.
