Patent ductus arteriosus is a common cause of morbidity. This book is based on the study that aimed at comparing the efficacy of intravenous Paracetamol and oral Ibuprofen for the closure of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm infants. The study demonstrated that intravenous paracetamol is as effective as oral ibuprofen in treatment of patent ductus arteriosus. According to the results of this research acetaminophen can be used in the treatment of patent ductus arteriosus especially when there are contra indications of using ibuprofen.
