The present study entitled “Efficacy of Some Biofertilizers on Growth Productivity and Nitrogen Economy of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.)” was made with the motive to explore the role of two biofertilizers viz. Azotobacter and Azospirillum in reducing the nitrogen requirement of okra and their effect on growth biochemical changes and yield of okra.On the basis of the findings of the present research work a conclusion has been drawn that the variety selection-151 is most suitably adapted under local climatic conditions. Moreover both the biofertilizers proved beneficial and increased the yield of this variety manifold and also reduced the nitrogen requirement of the crop. Hence application of biofertilizers in a judious manner decreased the cost of production of crop giving an additional benefit to farmers.
