Efficiency of artificial reproduction of chum and pink salmon

To preserve biodiversity including the maximum possible number of inheritably stable groups of pink and chum salmon for their rational harvesting it is necessary to maintain genetic differences between naturally and artificially reproduced populations; therefore studying the specifics of artificial reproduction of various intrapopulation groups of salmon is especially relevant today.In this study we assessed the specifics of artificial reproduction of chum salmon at salmon hatcheries on Iturup Island. Iturup releasing young fish into Kuybyshev Bay the effectiveness of their work and ways to optimize the aquaculture direction of the enterprise Continent LLC.
