About The Book

My Book A GARLAND OF POEMS. is a beautiful collection of 17 Poems. Some of the Poems are written for children with colourful illustrations by me. In my childhood I used to sit on the window sill and watch the rain with my sister making paper boats. This experience I shared in my Poem A Rainy Day. My observation of a wandering beggar wearing a torn sac as loin cloth and starving without food prompted me to write the Poem Roadside Beggar. Teachers at School would advise us to avoid eleventh hour preparation. My Psychology Professor would say that previously studied lessons had 50% retention and that only half the time was needed to learn them again.Their advice inspired me to write the poem Examinations. Many years ago Ayodhya was destroyed by fanatics. I read about it in Newspapers. Immediately I sat down and penned the Poem The Temple of Tolerance. Once I had a pet cat named Toddy. When I lost it I felt miserable. I couldnt eat well for two days. That evening I went out with my aunt. To my surprise I saw my lover. The mere sight of my lover dispelled my sorrow. I ate well that night. The outcome of such emotions is my Poem Love. My Experiencemy Observationmy Inspirations and my emotions have been translated into Poems in my Book A GARLAND OF POEMS.
