World champion rodeo cowboy turned county supervisor with a smile full of veneers and a handshake full of lies. He's also apparently everyone's enemy - at least that's what it looks like when Mimi Charles and Cortnie show up at his ranch to ask a few polite questions and stumble directly into a murder scene.</p><p>Now their client is the prime suspect. The grieving widow is hiding secrets bigger than her trophy buckle collection. A pixie-haired woman just punched said widow in the face. And somewhere in the middle of all this is a horse worth more than most people's houses a love triangle that's been simmering for twenty-five years and a daughter with a very strong left arm.</p><p>Oh and Charles is car shopping. Again. With an FBI agent who showed up wearing cargo shorts and knowing entirely too much.</p><p>Between dodging Nick's raised eyebrows Cortnie's rodeo expertise and a receptionist who is clearly running the entire operation better than anyone will admit - Mimi is about to find out that in an election year everyone's got something to hide.</p><p>And someone always pays the price.</p><p><strong>Buckle up.
