Electoral illusion and disillusionment in Congo-Zaire

Far from being an expected and supposedly appropriate solution to the crucial question of the legitimacy of Zairian-Congolese political institutions and their leaders the political elections in Congo-Zaïre which are modelled on the Euro-American model but lack the available funds and the necessary logistics Instead of uniting Zairian-Congolese citizens around a common ideal for the development of the country they divide them and set them against each other for personal and partisan reasons and ambitions thus supporting the crisis of governance and development mechanisms in this country. Our study wanted to demonstrate that for lack of a patriotic citizenship political elections in this country are becoming serious problems while from all horizons one hopes to find through them appropriate answers to the major concerns that the country is experiencing by placing the right people in the right places for the general interest. And with each electoral process the illusion of a therapy of the Zairean-Congolese evil by the elections turns to disillusion.
