Electricity in the EU. The Guarantee of Origin According to Directive 2001/77/EC

Seminar paper from the year 2010 in the subject Energy Sciences University of Cooperative Education Zagreb (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing) course: Electrical Power Engineering language: Croatian abstract: This final paper is presenting a system of Guarantee of origin according to directive 2001/77/EC as well as improvement and upgrade of the Guarantee of origin as defined in Directive 2009/28/EC. Given are the differences between the old and new definitions of Guarantees of origin. Also implementation of Guarantees of origin in the EU is analyzed. Germany Austria and the EU-12 countries are taken as examples including Slovenia as part of EU-12 which is more detail studied. The situation in Croatia is shown with project RELEEL which has made a proposal of implementation of Guarantees of origin in Croatia.
