Electroencephalogram and Analysis

Electroencephalography is an electrophysiological monitoring method to record electrical activity of the brain. The Source of EEG is is WITHIN the cerebral cortex by pyramidal cells. The 10-20 System of Electrode Placement is a method used to describe the location of scalp electrodes. Each electrode placement site has a letter to identify the lobe or area of the brain. A stable electrical connection between electrode and scalp is key to recording clean EEG signals. EEG waveforms with different frequency are displayed. Different types of montages are discussed.
