Electromagnetic Transient in Three-Phase Underground Power Cables

Transmission lines are one of the most important components of electrical power systems. Today for various reasons energy transmission is not only through overhead transmission lines and part of the transmission system consists of cable lines as transmission lines. The phenomenon of short circuit fault is known as one of the most dangerous and common fault that may occur in the power system. As soon as a short circuit (direct) occurs in any part of the power system the whole system suffers severe stresses. If not addressed as soon as possible it will cause instability and collapse of the network so quickly and accurately identify the type and location of faults in power networks from transmission lines and power plants and high pressure substations to networks.
