Traditions do not die easily especially for the charming and charismatic Chin. Born into a family who has preserved and practiced Chinese traditions for more than two decades Chin appreciates the value of his customs-until he meets the impetuous Marilyn and falls in love much to the dismay of his family-who view his fiancé as a foreign invader. Chin who considers himself an open-minded intelligent and sophisticated man has never had any luck with Chinese women. Although he is exceptionally happy with Marilyn his mother is not.
