Elements of the dynamics of development economics

From Chad to South Africa via Angola this book attempts to explain the dynamics of economic growth and development in relation to factual events and the contradictions inherent in these ecosystems. The role of commodities in distorting the socio-economic matrix in sub-Saharan Africa is discussed as well as the debate over the sustainability of the CFA franc in the 14 countries of the franc zone. The informal sector its size and its importance in national economies are particularly developed. Its importance is the subject of a debate on its role as a social buffer but also as a brake on growth and economic development strategies.
