I blew out the candle hoping in the dark I could finally ignore all things around me. The same chill crept down my arms howeverthis time they were followed by fingers. Two sets of pitch-black arms emerged from behind me and traced their talons along my skin and up to my neck. My throat constricted and I gasped out for breath only to have one set of claws close tightly around my throat. I reached out in vain to re-light the candle but the second pair of hands held my wrists back digging into them until blood erupted from my skin. So you're the world's light? a voice hissed out from the void around me. A light soon extinguished. I fought back as hard as I could clawing into the assailant's hands begging to be released.
