EMAS - a tool supporting eco-innovations

The development of entrepreneurships in the 21st century cannot occur without taking care of the natural environment. Having undertaken ecological activities the entrepreneurs benefit at the economic ecological and social levels. Therefore the implementation and popularization of eco-management in companies is so important. EMAS had been launched by the European Parliament and Council (EC). It is a system of environment management directed at various organizations e.g. financial institutions schools service providers production entrepreneurships etc. which voluntarily would like to exceed the minimal scope of law provisioned directives constantly limiting the negative influence of their activity on the environment. The book contains the problems connected with the introduction of EMAS in the enterprises.
