Emma

Set in the early 19th century in the fictional town of Highbury the story follows the life of Emma Woodhouse a young woman who enjoys matchmaking and interfering in the lives of her friends and acquaintances. As Emma attempts to play matchmaker she often misunderstands the motives and desires of those around her leading to unintended consequences and complications. Her own romantic prospects are also explored as she navigates her feelings for the reserved and enigmatic Mr. Knightley.
