Acquittal isn't an option. Neither is survival.</p><p> </p><p>Tia opposed this dark deity in the past. Now she works for him as do her companions Sir Peter Cortez and Kyle. They seek to rebel against the mystic chains that bind them to the demon's service - a task that may well be impossible.</p><p> </p><p>Meanwhile Tia's former maid Rebecca travels the world with imperial agents looking for some means to avert the doom that hangs over them all.</p>
