Empowering the Laity for Ministry

Many studies and experiments have been conducted to determine thenature of effective leadership and the context from which it springs. Inrecent years the Christian church has begun to follow the example of thebusiness community and the social sciences by studying the question ofleadership within the context of the Christian community. People of theChristian church desire leaders who can motivate them to volunteer theirenergies toward a collective effort. Such leadership requires vision and thecourage to lead the people toward that realization of the vision even whenthe way is uncertain.
