Endodontic Retreatment

Root canal treatment is a specific procedure for treating the irreversible damaged dental pulp. Endodontic failures are commonly encountered clinical problem in practice. Sometimes the disease persist despite treatment or reoccurred after having healed. It is mainly attributed to poor biomechanical preparation and improper disinfection of root canals. To accomplish it either coventional non surgical retreatment or surgical retreatment is opted. Endodontic retreatment is a valid alternative to saved a tooth from extraction. Retreatment provides the greatest advantage to patient as there is no replacement that functions as a well as retained natural tooth.
