Energy Consumption Reduction in Data Centers

This book presents initially the problem of energy consumption in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) world. The importance of green technology in designing energy-aware infrastructures for data centers is also argued. In addition the design of a general framework is proposed to represent a green scheduler for data centers first with homogeneous servers and then with heterogeneous servers. For such purpose an optimized neuro-based predictor is proposed to estimate the required number of active servers in data centers simulating green networking objectives.
