His research interests include energy relations with focus on Caspian Sea region connectivity energy cooperation and Indian foreign policy. He holds a PhD and MPhil from the Centre for Russian and Central Asian Studies School of International Studies Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Master's in Political Science from St. Joseph's College Bangalore.
