Energy Migration & Transfer In Dyepairs & Their Nonlinear Photophysics

About The Book

The content of this book broadly divides into two parts. In the first part study of excitation energy transfer phenomena has been carried out in two organic dye-pairs (Chapter 3 and Chapter 4). In the second part nonlinear photo-physical parameters of these dyes are studied (Chapter 5). Chapter 1 gives the theoretical background on these topics. The experimental techniques used to perform this work are detailed in Chapter 2. In Chapter 6 a summary of the work and conclusions are given. The subroutines of the computer programs made for calculating the overlap integral simulating the efficiency of energy transfer fitting of closed aperture (CA) Z-scan profiles and simulating the CA Z-scan profiles are also given as Appendices (A B C and D). Units of some physical parameters are given in Appendix E. The details of the dynode chain of a photo-multiplier tube (PMT) are given in Appendix F.
