Enhancing Pupils��� Speaking Ability

The effect of using innovative teaching tools and strategies such as using Communicative Language Teaching (CLT ) with semantic map retelling stories with big booksusing puppet during dialogues or conversation and playing educational game (intellihenyo) to enhance pupils’ speaking ability were investigated. The data collection tools that I chose to record the effectiveness of my teaching strategies were my personal observations pupils’ questionnaires and semi-structured interviews . Audio and video recording were done to document all the activities during the conduct of the study.
