Entanglements

Reading Maria's poems is like going on a journey a journey through life with all its varied dimensions - dimensions however where the threads of life are all entangled together. These dimensions range from the political through lessons from art relationships parenthood to death - but all are in a sense a part of the same journey through life which is a journey through discovery and eventually a journey to spiritual fulfilment. Like Maria and the seal in her poem 'A Wilderness Seal' we are all caught up 'in nature's cycle' all part of and entangled in the same cosmos that the she discovered and understood so well in the spiritual journey of her art.
