Environmental Control Systems I 2021 Case Studies

Case studies of building performance are conducted by student teams in the University of Oregon Environmental Control Systems class as a 5-week project. Student residences are selected with topics of interest related to energy use thermal comfort solar performance shading indoor air quality passive and active strategies material research and heat transfer. Work is presented as a poster and a technical paper. Each project goes through a rigorous technical peer-review after which several projects are selected for the Case Study Hall of Fame.
