Considering the problems resulting from the degradation of the original landscape the deforestation of permanent protection areas causing the disappearance of local fauna and flora leads to the loss of natural balance. This work aims to contribute to the environmental planning of the area under study and to propose a methodology for studies on the recovery of the area. The area in question is the Capivara River micro-basin located in the urban perimeter of the district of São Francisco Chopinzinho - PR. Analyses of the occupation of the basin were carried out as well as visits to the site to determine the activities that generate negative environmental impacts on the stream. These analyses pointed to degradation resulting from occupation for both rural activities and domestic waste. This is mainly linked to the absence of riparian forest. Therefore this study was carried out by quantifying mapping and analyzing the geographical attributes of the area comparing and correlating them with each other. Proposals were also developed to solve the problems detected in this research.
