Environmental security as a strategy for sustainable re-entry

This book is on adopting environmental security as a sustainable strategy for Shell’s re-entry into the Libyan oil and gas industry. It presents a clinical diagnosis of environmental security concerns with quintessential emphasis on oil waste management and ends with strategic recommendations worthy of consideration in Shell’s bid to re-engage in sustainable business in the Libyan oil and gas industry. It sees effective environmental security as a way to reducing ‘avoidable’ cost in an oil exploration business. In this light this report is limited to sustainable strategy for Shell-UK re-entry into Libya and therefore does not extend beyond the geographic territories of the country.
